Info: Salbutamol, trade name Albuterol, is a beta-2 adrenergic agonist used in the medical field as a bronchodilator to treat conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Salbutamol, apart from its medical applications, is also quite popular among athletes and bodybuilders for its thermogenic properties, which can be helpful during weight loss as the stimulant causes adrenergic receptor stimulation, increasing metabolism and so promoting fat breakdown.
EFFECTS :
- Thermogenic Properties: It increases metabolism and energy expenditure, helping in fat loss.
- Fat Breakdown: Activates beta-2 adrenergic receptors, stimulating the release and breakdown of triglycerides into free fatty acids for energy.
- Performance Enhancement: Used by athletes to improve endurance and performance through its stimulating effects on the central nervous system.
DOSE RANGE AND DURATION OF USE:
- Beginners: 20-120 mcg per day for 8-10 weeks.
- Intermediate Users: 40-160 mcg per day for 8-10 weeks.
- Advanced Users: 80-200 mcg per day for 8-10 weeks.
- Female Users: Typically follow the beginner dosage regimen of 20–120 mcg per day for 8–10 weeks.
It is advisable to start at the lower end of the dosage range to assess tolerance and gradually increase the dosage as needed.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
- Common: Tremors, headaches, palpitations, muscle cramps, insomnia, nervousness, dry mouth, throat irritation, nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, and sweating. These side effects are usually mild and temporary.
- Severe: In rare cases, chest pain, allergic reactions,, and significant changes in blood pressure may occur, requiring immediate medical attention.
COMBINATION WITH OTHER MEDICINES:
Salbutamol can be stacked together with various other dietary related supplements in order to enhance its effects, but it should not be stacked with DNP (2,4-dinitrophenol) or ephedrine due to the risk of severe adverse interactions and health hazards. Ask your healthcare professional about the possibility that salbutamol may interact with other substances.
