Manufacturer: Hilma BiocarePackage: 50 tablets per bottle (25 mcg per tablet)
Info: Liothyronine Sodium (Cytomel, T3) is a synthetic version of the thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3), used for treating hypothyroidism as well as various other thyroid-related conditions in medicine. It is also abused by bodybuilders and sportsmen for increasing energy consumption and reducing weight. T3 mimics how thyroxine functions in the human body. It speeds up metabolism, by making the body’s cells use more nutrients and fat for energy. It plays a part in a number of body processes such as burning carbohydrates, fats, and synthesizing proteins. It speeds up the rate at which metabolic process occurs in most of the body tissues. T3, characterized by slight anabolic activity and no androgenic activity, can cause water retention and poses a risk of liver toxicity.
Effects
T3 accelerates metabolism, enhances body heat production, promotes fat burning, and suppresses appetite. It decreases the need for sleep, improves physical performance, and has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system.
Dosage and Duration of Use
Typical cycle duration is 4 to 8 weeks, with some athletes extending up to 12 weeks. Beginners should avoid use. Hobbyists take 25-75 mcg daily, professionals 50-150 mcg (up to 300 mcg for some), and women 25-75 mcg. Half-life is 1-2 days, with active life of 4-7 days and a detection time of 4-8 weeks.
Side Effects
Cytomel is usually believed to be a well tolerated hormone in most healthy adults; healthy outside of hypothyroidism. The side effects of Cytomel are generally known to be related to over dosage or over administration of the hormone but it is also important to note that man is an individual. Possible side effects of Cytomel include headache, sweating, irregular heartbeat, nervousness, menstrual irregularities, and allergic rash.
